Job Description (Volunteer Position)

 

Title:Drivers and Errand Runners

Supervisor:  Various

Marin Services for Women needs volunteers that can assist with weekly errands such as grocery shopping, picking up donations or driving women to appointments.  Most of these tasks and appointments are in Marin County.  These are basic but essential errands and would be of tremendous support for our residents and their children. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Shopping errands
Picking up donated items from companies and individuals
Driving residents to appointments
Assisting other staff members with errands

Qualifications:
Good driving record
Friendly and courteous demeanor
Responsible, dependable and capable of accomplishing tasks on set schedule
Understanding of women’s issues
Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with MSW staff members, clients and the general public
Ability to maintain confidentiality of agency operations and clients

 Requirements:

People in recovery will need to have one continuous year of being clean and sober

Have an automobile in good running condition

Current California driver’s license

Current auto insurance policy

Clean driving history

Volunteers will be required to have a background check administered by MSW
