Title:               On-Call Child Care Counselor

Supervisor:     Child Development Coordinator

Marin Services for Women is a residential and outpatient treatment facility for women with alcohol and drug problems.  We are looking for caring individuals to help staff our Child Development Center. 

An ideal candidate will have:

• CPR training and certification is a plus
• 6 units of early childhood education or 9 units would be a plus
• Have a passion for children
• Enjoy working with a wide variety of ages
• Have experience working with children under aged ten
• Able to stay calm under pressure
• Have a good sense of humor

This position is Monday through Friday with two shifts

8:00am- 4:30pm

4:00pm to 9 pm.  Salary is $12.50 per hour.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Working with children from newborns to age 5
• Changing diapers  and Feedings
• Babysitting during naptime
• Storytelling and Playing games
• Informing residential mother of child’s activities and development
• Communicating in a polite and respectful manner to the mothers
• Keeping a neat and clean area for the children

Drivers’ license and/or good transportation for on-call
