MARIN SERVICES FOR WOMEN (MSW) is a licensed chemical dependency care provider offering a full continuum of recovery programs for women who seek freedom from addiction and want to take charge of their lives. Our research-based services are designed to provide a safe, welcoming, supportive environment that empowers women in their journey toward sustained recovery from trauma and addiction. Located in beautiful Marin County, California, on the shores of Corte Madera Creek, MSW offers the following programs:

MSW's programs are staffed by caring professionals whose goal is to support women and their families in the healing process. In partnership, clients and case managers develop individualized care plans to address a client's unique and specific needs. Discharge planning begins at admission to insure a smooth transition at program completion. Unlimited weekly continuing care groups are available to all graduates.

We accept and bill most health insurance plans as well as private payments. A sliding fee scale is available to women with a demonstrated financial need.

As a valued supporter of Marin Services for Women, please join us in welcoming our newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Cindy L. Myers, Ph. D. Cindy is a visionary and strategic leader who will sustain and grow MSW's commitment to the highest quality gender-specific, trauma informed, and culturally competent treatment. Cindy's leadership will take MSW to the next level, and we look forward to collaborating with Cindy to create more organizational stability, creativity and excellence. She will report for work on September 15, 2008.

Cindy L. Myers is an organizational development and management specialist with over 25 years experience in human services delivery and non-profit administration. She holds a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has administered a diverse array of non-profit residential and outpatient programs, including domestic violence, adolescent services, community mental health, drug and alcohol recovery, and youth and family therapy programs. Previous to her appointment at MSW, Cindy was Executive Director of the Center for Restorative Practice since 1995 where she developed the Family Network family group decision making model for families with children at risk of out-of-home placement.

The MSW Board is overwhelmingly grateful to Bruce Jack for serving as MSW's Interim Executive Director for the past year. His expert guidance has helped MSW through this important transition period. We would also like to thank the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership Transition Services Program for its competent technical support for our executive search process.
