MANAGEMENT TEAM Cindy L. Myers, Ph.D. Chief Executive Officer, is an organizational development and management specialist with over 25 years experience in human services delivery and non-profit administration. She holds a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has administered a diverse array of non-profit residential and outpatient programs, including domestic violence, adolescent services, community mental health, drug and alcohol recovery, and youth and family therapy programs. Previous to her appointment at MSW, Cindy was Executive Director of the Center for Restorative Practice since 1995 where she developed the Family Network family group decision making model for families with children at risk of out-of-home placement.
Lynn McLeod, MA, MFT, Director of Residential Services, comes to MSW with seventeen years experience working in therapeutic residential programs. Her experience encompasses both the clinical aspects of treatment and program development and management. For eleven years she was clinical staff and Assistant Program Supervisor at Braun Place, residential treatment for severely emotionally disturbed adolescents. For the seven years immediately preceding her arrival at MSW, Lynn was the Independent Living Skills Coordinator at Four Winds West, a transitional residential program for young adults with mental illness. Lynn is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and maintains a private practice in Berkeley and Corte Madera. She received her BA from Stanford University, her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, and is a graduate of The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, CA.
Adriana Popescu,Ph.D., Director of Outpatient Services, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist. She began her career early as an undergraduate majoring in psychology at Dartmouth College. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. She has worked with many different populations and in a variety of treatment settings, including adults and adolescents in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs for emotionally disturbed adolescents, group homes for seriously mentally ill adults, and outpatient treatment with children, families, and adults. Prior to coming to MSW, she worked for 8 years at Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County in the Adult Substance Abuse Program, treating adults with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. For the last 4 years at Catholic Charities, she was the Program Manager of the ASAP program. |

Karen Carlson, Fiscal Director, joined MSW’s Accounting Department in 2004. She began her accounting career studying at Golden Gate University, and went on to serve as CFO of a closely-held retail corporation. After earning a BA from Mills College, Karen spent two decades providing freelance financial services to artistic ventures and to medical professionals (while raising 3 children). Karen moonlights as a dance teacher to adults with developmental disabilities, and is the coach of their Wildcats Wiffleball team. |

Rebecca Miller, Director of Development, joined MSW's Development Department in 2006. She brings with her over fifteen years of Development experience ranging from Events and PR Management to Grant Writing and Fund Development. After completing her undergraduate education, Rebecca accepted a position at the Bay Area Rescue Mission in Richmond, CA as their Special Events and Media Manager. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband, camping, crafting and cooking. |

Randi Rogen, MA Director of Operations, Upon gaining her BA in Human Development from The University of Maryland, Randi re-located to California. She went on to gain her MA in Counseling Psychology from National University in 1997. Randi prefers to put her 20 years experience in Property Management, Office Management and Construction to good use here at MSW. As the Director of Operations, Randi is in charge of Office Management, Information Technology and the maintenance of our main facility and Larkspur House. Randi is a proud mother of identical twin boys. |
